Unlike most cabinetmakers in the region, Schroll offers framed and frameless construction options for your custom cabinet project. Both options offer countless design possibilities and your designer can help you decide which is the right choice for your dream project.
Framed
Framed cabinets are the traditional way of constructing cabinets in America. A one and a half inch frame hides the edge of the cabinet box. Doors typically overlay the frame. Cabinet doors may also be mounted to the inside of the frame.
Overlay can be 1/2″, 1 1/4″, or inset on framed cabinets.
Frameless
Frameless cabinets have become a popular choice for U.S. homeowners in recent years. In contrast to framed cabinets, frameless cabinets do not have the frame around the edges of the cabinet box. Hinges connect the door directly to the cabinet box. This provides a bit more storage space and tighter reveals between doors and drawer fronts.
Overlay can only be full on frameless cabinets.
