Clear Alder

  • Origin: Coastal Western North America
  • Hardness: moderately soft
  • Grade: superior
  • Description: Straight grain wood with natural coloring from pale yellow to reddish brown. Pitch pockets, pin knots and occasional tight knots are acceptable. Expect panels to have smaller wood stave pieces. Stains blend natural wood color variations together well, but in lighter color finishes color
