White Oak

White oak is heavy, hard, strong, and durable. Its sapwood is white to very light brown, while the heartwood is light to dark brown.  Flat sawing, rift sawing, and quarter sawing methods highlight oak’s distinctive grain.  Character white oak doors can feature one or more sawing methods as well as attractive large and small knots and mineral streaks.
